Stewart Garrison
Stewart Garrison is a founding principal of SPSD. After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Journalism, Stewart began working on a number of construction and contracting projects. He is a Texas Licensed Irrigator. He now manages all construction operations at SPSD.
During his 31-year career, Stewart has become an expert in multiple specialty areas including site work and drainage. He is most passionate about designing and managing water projects. His favorite aspect about SPSD is its small, family-oriented atmosphere with “big” firm capabilities and expertise.
In addition to his work in the landscape industry, Stewart is active in a number of organizations including the River Legacy Foundation and Ducks Unlimited. He also enjoys renovating vintage motorcycles, hunting and fishing. Stewart and his wife Renee are longtime residents of Arlington. They have three grown children.
Cliff Mycoskie, RLA, ASLA
After 34 years, the landscaping industry has become familiar territory for Cliff Mycoskie. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, he holds the title of founding principal of SPSD and is a registered landscape architect. Through the years, Cliff has gained an expertise in:
- landscape architecture
- urban planning
- zoning consultation
- business development
As head of new business development, Cliff continually demonstrates SPSD’s ability to initiate and successfully complete a wide variety of notable projects with a high customer satisfaction. He is proud of SPSD’s continued growth and the firm’s future opportunities.
Cliff is associated with many professional and community organizations and formerly served as Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman in Arlington, Texas. He is also a lifelong member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Cliff and his wife Sally have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Lisa Nye, CPA
Lisa Nye serves as Chief Financial Officer and a key member of the strategic planning team. She has been with SPSD for more than 17 years. She is responsible for managing the financial health and sustainability of the company with confidence and integrity. She excels working with employees, clients and lenders to achieve a mutually beneficial relationship.
She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas – Arlington. Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant. Lisa lives in Arlington and enjoys the pleasure and rewards of parenting two active boys with her husband, Steve Nye.
Skeet Norton
Skeet Norton brings a wide range of professional experiences to his work at SPSD. Skeet is the Pre-Construction Manager and he excels in design, value engineering, estimating and client relations. His passion is client interaction and thrives on creating opportunities for SPSD. Prior to his work at SPSD, he earned his degree from Texas A&M – Commerce and his Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas – Arlington. He is a licensed irrigator. His experience in design, business and construction gives him a unique approach to landscape specialty construction.
As a professional in the landscaping field, it only makes sense Skeet enjoys the outdoors, especially fly fishing. He also participates in Downtown Arlington Inc. and the American Society of Landscape Architecture. He, his wife, Niki, and two sons, Ollie and Owen, live in Euless.
