ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN

Project Description

Alliance for Children is a children’s advocacy center that has served over 63,000 children. Their mission is to protect children from child abuse through teamed investigations, healing services, and community education. They seek to protect and heal children who have been affected by child abuse. SPSD was contacted to provide an exterior space that is geared towards fun and excitement but also safety and healing. A large artificial turf area  for flexible play and a teaching garden for learning and growing were the main program elements we needed to incorporate for the space. Accessibility, shade, soft plants, and sight visibility were just a couple of important site factors that were considered when designing this space.
