ARLINGTON HIGHLANDS

Project Description

Arlington Highlands is an open-air shopping experience located in south Arlington off 1-20. The property is a combination of large retail shops, boutique shops, dining and self-care shops that quickly became a gathering spot for the community. Constructed in 4 phases SPSD managed and installed all aspects of the landscape including two stream water features, splash pad, runestone fountain, entry water features, planting, irrigation, and drainage. The project has many unique details including two large stream water features each stretching almost a football field long. The stream boulders were hand selected and placed carefully to give it a natural appearance. Two underground vaults hold the massive pumps and equipment out of site from the public. Another unique feature is the Runestone fountain. It is a solid piece of stone carved from a 9-ton boulder.
