This traditional brick and stone home is located in a heavily-treed community on the outskirts of Burleson, TX. When we stepped onsite for the first time, the property had a lot going for it already including a pool, swim up bar, basketball court, and axe throwing area. The homeowner asked that we create additional backyard amenities as well as fix their ongoing drainage issues. The backyard has a number of large post oaks that shade out most of the open space in the backyard. We designed a backyard plan that collects and reroutes much of the stormwater runoff into either subsurface drainage or a dry creek bed that meanders through the trees. We also added a couple artificial turf areas, one for a 2-tiered putting green and another for chipping.
