Burnett Park is an urban park designed by renowned landscape architect, Peter Walker. The park underwent a renovation in 2010 to exclude the series of water pools and include play areas and equipment for children. The park is contained by large groves of live oaks, red oaks, crape myrtles, and magnolias. Ongoing maintenance of the grounds, enhancements, and lighting exhibits such as the infamous “singing trees” have been handled by SPSD since 2017.
