PARK CITIES RESIDENCE

Project Description

This beautiful, brick colonial-style home set in the heart of the Park Cities in Dallas is a real eye-catcher. The backyard was the priority with many overgrown trees, lawn regressing due to the lack of sun, and drainage issues. The design intent was to create a landscape with year-round interest that complimented the large existing trees and beautiful architecture. The client wanted to add a new flagstone path that meandered around the heritage large oak and connected the back patio to the front patio. We added a putting green in the back to solve the sun/shade problem and create a program element that wasn’t there before. We added a rope swing for their grandchildren when they were able to come and visit. We also carved out a place for the homeowner’s Green Egg. These added program elements along with a lush, Dallas palette really set this backyard apart and will contribute to many memories being made over the years to come.
