THE SKINNY & CALHOUND DOG PARK
Project Description
SPSD collaborated with TBG Partners, the landscape architect, to install two urban parks for the Near Southside District just south of Downtown Fort Worth. Both parks are less than an acre in size, but both provide unique amenities to the surrounding businesses and neighborhoods. The Skinny is a slender, but flexible open space defined by limestone quarry blocks. It boasts a boardwalk, shade pavilions, and various seating opportunities among a native, Texas landscape within the park. The Calhound Park is an off-leash dog park with various types of seating, pavilions, and open space for dogs to run. All landscape, irrigation, drainage, and hardscape improvements were installed by SPSD.
